After going to several other Marinas, we ended up buying a used boat from Tyler at River North Marina. I could not recommend a salesman more. HE WAS AWSOME! I was in need of a large shackle for a new anchor I purchased for my boat. What they had on the shelf was not large enough for my needs. Jeff, the GM of the Marina (I believe that was his name..... I am horrible with names...lol) quickly approached me and asked me if I needed help. I told him what I was looking for and he did not hesitate to go to the back room and brought out exactly what I needed. Jeff was extremely friendly as were all of the staff members there. I tried working with two other marine shops to get a mooring cover for my boat. Neither of them would call back. When I called Russell Marine and talked to Dan, he listened and was very proactive in getting the cover ordered and scheduling for the install. When I arrived to have the installation done, Jessica in the service department was fantastic. She let me know exactly what they were going to do and about how long it would take. I took a boating class that included safety and hands-on instruction behind the wheel of a boat. Let’s just start with what great communication we received from the Russell Marine, assistant manager, Kendra, who is in charge of putting together this class. If I had any questions, she was quick to respond. BONUS: the swag included a full size tote bag and a T-shirt - I will be using both! Plus we received a gourmet lunch from Willow Point Country Club with homemade fried potato chips. This class was phenomenal! They covered just enough information to allow it to sink I and answered all the questions that we had. Not only did we hear from a marine police officer, but we also received instruction from volunteers of the Lake Martin Resource Association. I loved that the boat was the exact same size as our boat. Not having really driven our boat, I actually was able to park my boat. My instructor was very patient and allowed me multiple tries for practice. Very large marina with lots of slips, tons of docking at the fuel station which also allows for closed hours fueling with a credit card. Well stocked marina inside with lots of boating supplies, snacks and drinks. Staff is always courteous and friendly. Read More

The Ridge Marina has been great to deal with on our new Godfrey Pontoon boat. The management and the sales staff are down to earth and friendly. The team at Russell Marine Boating & Outdoors is top notch and I highly recommend. Everyone I interacted with when buying our SeaDoos was friendly, honest, helpful and mindful of your time. They are truly customer focused which is hard to find these days! Our salesman Caleb Weldon was a pleasure to work with and went out of his way to get everything pulled together in less than 24 hours so we could get on the water quickly. He went above and beyond, even water testing a ski for us on a cold, rainy day. I bought an impeller and a fuel sending unit here. I was told they'd have the parts ready for me to pick up on a Friday. That was true. I was not told that they would be charging me an overnight delivery fee. I left with a bad taste in my mouth. I ended up having to return the impeller since it was not the correct one. I asked again about the overnight delivery fee and they did refund my money. It cost them money but they did the right thing. Read More

I attended the women’s boating class today at Russell Marine. Everything was top notch. Kendra had great communication from beginning to end. I appreciated the timely updates with regards to weather. The class was informative and very helpful. The information provided by the trooper and Lake Martin Resource Association was presented in an interesting way. Both gentlemen answered all our questions. The captains on the boat were very patient and knowledgeable and kept working with us as we learned skills for docking. We enjoy our rental pontoon but more importantly was the quick and quality service we received. I didn’t get her name but the rental lady was awesome. She was personable and genuine and really cared about you having a good experience. I would suggest they do take some time and explain where and how far the local restaurants are. Being a tourist I was reluctant to travel too far out of comfort zone. My fault I should have asked but I think it would be good business on your part. This is not a complaint it’s a suggestion. Came here for graduation weekend for Auburn with the family. Lee Lee was the most helpful employee I have ever dealt with when dealing with any marina across the US at many lakes. She was so helpful getting us a rental back in May '23. I feel bad writing a review so late but I had to! We had a blast on their fleet for a incredibly reasonable rate.
